A Mini Babybel plant in Sorel-Tracy
The first Mini Babybel® plant in Canada is currently being built in Sorel-Tracy. We are so proud to be contributing to the economic development of this Quebec region. In 2019-2020, we will be hiring 140 people to make our cheese in a modern facility that features all the best in terms of equipment, health safety and security measures, as well as development opportunities for our new employees. Our confreres at Laitieries Chalifoux, which produce the Riviera brand, have partnered with us throughout this project.
Fromagerie Bergeron of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly: A family story
All across Canada, The Laughing Cow® is a part of everyday life for families. To satisfy this demand, Group Bel Canada has partnered with a company that shares the same values and enthusiasm: Fromagerie Bergeron of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, near Quebec City.
Since 2007, this local company has produced the renowned The Laughing Cow® cheese for the entire Canadian market. Each year, this cheese dairy, which was founded in 1940 and employs nearly 50 people, meets the annual demand of Canadians. In the past 10 years, nearly 1.4 billion triangular portions have been produced in the farming region of Chaudière-Appalaches, to the delight of cheese lovers.
Group Bel Canada and Fromagerie Bergeron, two family businesses, share the same values and a common vision to offer superior quality cheeses.
